The Archdiocese acknowledged that the filing was, in part, the consequence of decades of sexual abuse committed by members of the clergy. The bankruptcy court has imposed a “bar date” of March 1, 2021. The bar date is the deadline by which survivors of sexual abuse must file their claim against the Archdiocese.
